Opening Reception: Community Of Images Exhibition

Collaborative Cataloging Japan and Japan America, Society of Greater Philadelphia, are pleased to announce the exhibition “Community of Images: Japanese Moving Image Artists in the US, the 1960s-1970s,” which is scheduled to take place June 14–August 9, 2024, at the Philadelphia Art Alliance.

Join us for an opening reception for “Community of Images” on Friday, June 14, 2024, to celebrate the launch of the exhibition and to kick off a weekend of public programs offering additional opportunities to explore the histories and artists highlighted by the exhibition.

“Community of Images” is curated by the collective members of Collaborative Cataloging Japan (CCJ) — Go Hirasawa, Julian Ross, and Ann Adachi-Tasch — and co-presented with Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP), with community engagement leadership by Rob Buscher.
