We are inviting all families with children 3, 5, or 7 years old to join us for Shichi-Go-San (7,5,3). Join us in celebrating the growth and well-being of your children in this traditional Japanese holiday!
This beautiful ceremony, open to 3 and 7 year-old girls and 5 year-old boys, is an opportunity to get photos of your child dressed in traditional kimono against Shofuso’s backdrop. Included in the ticket price will be kimono dressing in one of our standard kimono and photos throughout the house by a professional photographer, as well as traditional candy.

Rental Session Packages
Each Shichi-Go-San experience includes consultation and session coordination, special family admission to Shofuso, a photo session throughout the house and garden, and a minimum of 10 professionally retouched high-resolution digital images. Complimentary kimono dressing for the celebrant is included, along with a keepsake Chitose Ame bag and koi feeding activity to make the day especially memorable.
Optional enhancements are available for families who would like to further customize their experience, including additional kimono rental and dressing, hair and makeup, videography, and heirloom print products. Special upgraded packages are also available for families celebrating two celebrants together, as well as those looking for additional styling and a more fully coordinated portrait experience. Custom packages may also be prepared for families seeking arrangements outside of our standard offerings.
All parents will need to contact KiraKira Artistry directly to discuss rental session details by filling out this inquiry form.

PLEASE READ:
- Kimono dressing does take some time (about 15-20 minutes), with hair and make up taking much longer so please be aware that children may become restless. Undressing the kimono takes about 5 minutes as well.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time.
- If you are bringing your own kimono, please be sure that you have ALL pieces of the kimono with you
- Only purchase tickets for children dressing in kimono and getting their photos taken
- Note that Shichi-Go-San is for 3 and 7 year old girls and 5 year old boys. We cannot accommodate any children over 7 years old.
If you have any questions or would like to inquire about special packages (sibling and makeup), please fill out this Inquiry Form.
Registration deadline is 10 days prior to the photoshoot date.
No refunds will be processed for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the photoshoot.
Participants who give permission to Shofuso and KiraKira Artistry to share their photos and/or videos in promotional materials receive a 5×10″ accordion album with their 10 favorite images.
