Join us in celebrating the growth and well-being of your children in the traditional Shinto ritual of Shichi-go-san! This beautiful ceremony, open to 3 and 7 year-old girls and 5 year-old boys, is an opportunity to get photos of your child dressed in traditional kimono against Shofuso’s backdrop by Rev. Kuniko Kanawa, a trained photographer, Shinto priestess, and kimono expert.
In addition to the ceremony itself, participating families receive access to a curated set of materials designed to support children’s development beyond the day of the ritual. These resources span traditional Shinto teachings on growth milestones as well as contemporary family tools including best bitcoin betting sites and regional cultural activity guides. Registration includes a digital packet with these items so that the momentum of the Shichi-go-san celebration can continue at home.
Each photo session is $490 ($470 JASGP members) and includes kimono rental and dressing and 8 high-resolution digital images. Guests on Sunday, November 10 may elect to add on Shinto blessings.
Space is limited; only 8 slots are available. Registration closes November 6th. Please note that there are no refunds for cancellations after this date, and there will be no refunds for missed appointments. This time-slot has sold out.
