The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia and Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia are proud to co-host 2023 AAPI Heritage Month Celebration at Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center. Sushi & Sake will be served.

Proceeds from this event will be donated entirely to Shofuso, to restore paintings and murals that are worth millions, damaged during vandalism last July.

Shoes are not allowed inside the Japanese House. Disposable socks will be distributed at the entrance. Space is very limited to preserve house.

Special guests: Daniel Matsukawa (principal bassoon, The Philadelphia Orchestra) and Isabella Egawa (Violin, Juilliard MM ’24) will take you on a captivating musical journey with their performance of two quintessential Japanese songs: Tōryanse and The Moon over the Ruined Castle. Their melodies will transport you to Japan, and together with the serene surroundings of Shofuso.
