Classes & Workshops

Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP) fosters cross-cultural understanding and appreciation through rich and diverse educational programs.

Our Japanese language classes cater to all experience levels and offer a structured learning pathway to fluency. Young language enthusiasts can showcase their talents at the annual Nihongo Philacon, a Japanese language competition for middle and high school students.

We also offer hands-on workshops, from taiko drumming to cooking classes and more, providing experiences that bring the beauty of Japanese culture to life. Whether you are a beginner, enthusiast, or advanced learner, JASGP sponsors a wide variety of educational programs that foster a deeper appreciation of Japanese culture and offer a little something for everyone.
