The Annual Meeting is JASGP’s yearly state-of-the-organization address and networking opportunity for members, supporters, and friends. Held each Fall, it is a forum for both looking back at past accomplishments and setting forth new goals.
In addition to updating the community on existing one programs and projects, such as the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival and Trans-Pacific Partnership Series, the Annual Meeting also serves as a platform for unveiling new projects.
With 2014 marking JASGP’s 20th year in Philadelphia, the inaugural JASGP Annual Meeting in October, 2013 served as the kick-off to our 20th Anniversary Celebration. JASGP announced its plans to create a long-term fund to support the organization in the future. The 20th Year Fund will be supported by fundraising and through matching donations from our sponsors. For more information on the 20th Year Fund, visit japanphilly.org/twenty.
Each year JASGP recognizes organizations and individuals who have distinguished themselves in promoting Philadelphia-Japan exchange. Awards are given to business partners, cultural ambassadors, volunteers, and others who have made outstanding contributions to JASGP’s mission.
Meet & Greet
Most importantly, the Annual Meeting is a wonderful opportunity for supporters of JASGP to mix and mingle. The program is followed by a reception with a mixture of Japanese and Western food and drink.
