Lenfest Hall at West Entrance
The exhibition features the first bird's-eye view, panoramic pictorial art of Edo (the ancient name of Tokyo). It was created during the mid-Edo period by Kitao Masayoshi, also known as Kuwagata Keisai. This groundbreaking work raises intriguing questions about its creation, as there were no flying objects available during that era, and the high elevation point for such a sweeping view does not exist.
