Teruyo Grubman was born and raised in Saitama prefecture, and lived in Tokyo for more than 10 years. She moved to Philadelphia in 2012 and took a correspondence Japanese teaching course in 2014. After she finished the course, she started tutoring both adults and children in Japanese. She also works at a Japanese law firm in Philadelphia and speaks Japanese at work every day.

I enjoy teaching Japanese and especially love seeing my students improve their Japanese skills and understand Japanese culture more deeply (and love Japan more!). It is so much fun to learn a foreign language and communicate with people in that language and I would like to share that experience with you. I am looking forward to studying Japanese together!
