Nihongo Philacon 2021

 

High school student studying Japanese? Compete, learn, and have fun at the 18th Annual Nihongo Philacon, on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Join JASGP and Villanova University for an engaging and friendly interactive Japanese language quiz show open to all Philadelphia-area high school students. Using the educational quiz platform Kahoot and an online Zoom meeting with breakout rooms, this free online program has three levels of competition so every student will be challenged. Typical questions include:

Which word means “to study” in Japanese?
Name three things in a Japanese kitchen.
Can you write today’s date in Japanese?

Participants will be placed on teams for questions on your Nihongo (Japanese language) knowledge. Philacon is open to every high school student studying Japanese. Prizes for winning teams and fun swag for all! Registration is required and closes on March 19, 2021.
