This new weekday camp program introduces young children ages 4-5 to the Japanese house and garden using activities designed especially for their age and developmental level. Children’s literature, hands-on activities, and plenty of outdoor play and exploration round out each morning session. A healthy mid-morning snack will be served daily; parents must provide a packed lunch. Half day camp is $150 per week ($125 members).
In the Garden: June 18 – June 22
Story time on the island, creating koi collages by our pond and making sun prints from cuttings from
plants are just some of the ways young children will explore and learn about our Japanese garden.
Fantastic Creatures of Japan: June 25 – June 29
From dragons to koi, young children will learn about Japanese creatures both real and imagined. We will
explore the house and garden using traditional games, stories, crafts and food as a basis for discovery.
