Impress your friends with your maki mastery at home or compete in the Amateur Sushi Making Contest on Thursday, April 6, or the Subaru Sushi Samurai of the Year Contest at Sakura Sunday on April 9. The festival is the start of a full slate of Japanese arts, culture and business programming courtesy of the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, which now operates Shofuso Japanese House and Garden.
Classes take place every night from Saturday, April 1 through Wednesday, April 5 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at The HeadHouse Craft Beer Café for a cost of $60 per person. The cost of the class is included in the $100 entry fee for Madame Saito’s Amateur Sushi Making Contest.
