Tanabata is a traditional Japanese star festival held in midsummer. Join us at Shofuso to tie wishes (tanzaku) to the bamboo tree, watch our giant tanabata star ornaments swish in the breeze, and make paper cranes for good luck. This weekend of activities includes Japanese storytelling, musical instrument demonstrations, origami, and calligraphy! Events free with general admission.
