Shofuso needs your help reclaiming its surrounding arboretum areas. Help beautify the paths leading to Shofuso as well as its greater grounds as part of Philadelphia’s Love Your Park Week!

The volunteer day includes general brush and debris clean up and leaf raking, as well as invasive plant and weed removal. No prior gardening experience necessary. Come prepared to work among dirt and brambles; closed toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants are recommended. If you happen to have personal gloves and a small trowel of your own, do not hesitate to bring them along. There will also be opportunities for lighter and more specified weeding inside the grounds of the garden itself for any experienced gardeners out there.

Coffee and donuts will be available as refreshment during the workday. *Same-day free tours of the house will be available to all volunteers, and free passes will also be provided to all volunteers so they may return with friends and family on a day of their choice*
